Description

Elegance and performance defines the 703 S3.  Technology from the flag ship 800 Series Diamond enables this range of speakers. Consequently, with eight models to choose from, there’s a speaker to suit every home. Inspired by recording studios, made for living rooms: with the 700 Series, studio sound comes home.

The new B&W 703 S3 now uses our iconic Tweeter-on-Top configuration for the first time.  In addition, alongside a decoupled FST™ Continuum cone mid range driver.  In addition, our revolutionary new Biomimetic Suspension and twin Aerofoil Profile bass drivers further enhanced the B&W 703 S3.

Room-filling realism

Its new Tweeter-on-Top configuration and the revolutionary Biomimetic Suspension in its decoupled mid range drive unit combine to raise the 703 S3 to all-new heights of performance.

A house for high frequencies

The 700 Series uses the latest generation of our iconic Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top housing.  Additionally, its new more elongated form incorporates a longer tube loading system.  Hence this produces an even more free and open sound with high frequencies.  A single solid block of aluminum makes the carefully decoupled housing.  As a result, it gives better resistance to resonance.

Sharper detail

Carbon Dome tweeters are built for the 700 Series. Delivering a dramatic improvement on the aluminum double dome tweeter, they raise the breakup threshold to 47kHz.  Consequently, with pinpoint imaging clarity and detail.

Truly amazing sound

Thanks to its composite construction, the Continuum™ cone avoids the abrupt transitions in behavior that can impair the performance of a normal drive unit. Consequently, the result is a more open, neutral performance that delivers voices and instruments with precision and clarity from the 703 S3.

Clean and clear

Every three way loudspeaker in the new 700 Series has a dedicated mid range cone using four key Bowers & Wilkins technologies: the Continuum cone, FST™, Biomimetic Suspension and mid range decoupling, the latter ensuring minimal interference from the operation of the loudspeaker’s bass drivers.

A triumph of science

The 703 S3 uses Advanced computer modeling techniques to develop the Aerofoil™ Profile bass cone.  It has variable thickness. Which gives rigidity where it’s needs it the most. As can be seen, the result is deep and dynamic bass.
